Award-Winning Coach and Founder of Katie Lowndes Wellness
I know firsthand what it’s like to have a rewarding career in wellness and yet feel like something is missing. After 20 years in the wellness industry, I realised that I wanted to spend more time helping others treat not only their skin and body but also their mind. After all, measurable, long-lasting change only comes from working on ourselves.
After getting certified as a coach, hypnotherapist, and psychotherapist, I was finally ready to make the impact I always desired in the lives of women who are generous when it comes to caring for others yet neglecting themselves.
I draw from my training in behaviour profiling, hypnosis, neuro-linguistic programming, and EFT to help you uncover your limiting beliefs and patterns so that you can eliminate obstacles standing in the way of your ideal life.
I started my journey into the wellness industry by developing knowledge, research, and skills and completing a HND (Higher National Diploma) in Beauty and Related Sciences. I also earned diplomas in reflexology, Indian head massage, and theatrical and media makeup. Always having had a hunger for running my own business, I started my own wedding makeup venture in England and was delighted to enjoy great success and job satisfaction.
My thirst for knowledge and itch to travel inspired me to accept an 8-month contract with Steiner and Elemis on cruise ships. During this fantastic better part of a year, I cruised the Eastern and Western Caribbean with Royal Caribbean cruise lines while honing my skills and quickly becoming the lead facialist…I also discovered my passion for sales!
After my own wonderful experiences working on cruises, I moved on to the Steiner Head Office in London to train other staff to work successfully on cruise ships and won Trainer of the Year in 2006. Moving on to Steiner’s sister business Elemis (a British skincare brand), I managed their flagship spa in Mayfair London. While managing the Elemis Spa at the Intercontinental Hotel Park Lane in London in 2009, I was an Outstanding Achievement Award Winner.
After meeting my husband-to-be, Luke, I moved to Melbourne, Australia. This is when I really opened my heart and mind up to the wellness industry. I continued my work with ELEMIS as National Manager and got involved with some exciting extracurricular roles. One of these was acting as Chair of the Australian Spa Association (ASPA).
Annual awards, exhibitions, and networking events for the industry opened my eyes to new brands, gorgeous spas, and retreat ideas. A pivotal moment for me was judging the Retreat of the Year Award during which I got to stay at the incredible Gwinganna Lifestyle Retreat. This opened up my eyes to the power of wellness and inner change, and I knew that was the space I wanted to work in.
My time with the ASPA and exposure to incredible retreats sparked a dream of working for myself within this business while helping others. I started to level up my skills by getting certified in new modalities that would help me turn my dreams into reality. This started with becoming a Certified DISC trainer in 2016 and studying tirelessly to become a Certified Wellness Coach with Wellness Coaching Australia, Levels 1, 2 and 3. I also studied for a Certificate in Health and Nutrition in 2017. Meanwhile, I continued working in management and eventually rose to the role of Regional Business Director Asia Pacific (APAC) for ELEMIS in 2017.
After arming myself with a variety of modalities to help women improve their well-being, I founded this business. With the goal of coaching others to achieve their goals in every area of their lives, I also penned my first book. This simple, light, and funny read helps people take a spring-cleaning approach to their lives and strip away the clutter for a more intentional existence.
After coaching for a few years, I saw the need for some deeper work. I qualified as a Clinical Hypnotherapist and Psychotherapist, an NLP Practitioner, and an EFT Practitioner in order to help my clients get even better results. My efforts to dig deeper were recognised with a Best Corporate Wellbeing Coach Award and Best Workplace Wellbeing Coach in Victoria at the Australian Enterprise Awards.
My husband and I bought a stunning property in Sorrento and transformed it into a versatile retreat space that groups can use to take a much-needed break to rest and recharge on the Mornington Peninsula. I’ve made it possible for people to build their own retreat by incorporating elements of their choosing, with everything from yoga and spa trips to soaking in hot springs and wonderful dining.
I was delighted to get a room on Gertrude Street in Fitzroy so I can hold face-to-face appointments with my wonderful clients (for those who prefer in-person sessions).
I truly believe that achieving both personal and professional success depends on taking a holistic, 360 degree look at your life. Having found what was missing in my life, I’m delighted to be able to do the same for my clients. I am passionate as ever about running my Freedom360 coaching program and seeing how transformational it is for my clients…and I’d love to work with you too!
When you’re caught up in the everyday hustle, it’s hard to find time to step back from your busy life and figure out HOW to set things in the right direction. If you’re ready to be happier and have more time to pursue the things you love, but feel like you don’t have the time to figure it out, I’m here to help!
During this value-packed coaching call, we will…
Take the first step towards your fabulous new life today so that you can finally experience abundance and joy on your own terms.
